Item Description
10.5x13" display plaque contains 8-3/8x10.25" cardstock photo from the 1950s showing New York Yankees manager Casey Stengel (1890-1975) on the field overseeing game. Playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers/Superbas/Robins (1912-1917), the Pittsburgh Pirates (1918-1919), The Philadelphia Phillies (1920-1921), the New York Giants (1921-1923) and the Boston Braves (1924-1925), he is perhaps best known as the manager (1949-1960) of the championship New York Yankees of the 1950s, dominated by Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. Stengel was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1966. Photo has pre-printed signature on Stengel's leg and has been boldly signed in black felt tip pen across his chest, making for vivid display. Photo has slight left/right margin trim but still displays Exc. Photo has been encased within wall plaque w/custom text plate below and is ready for display. Photo can be easily removed from plaque if so desired. Comes with Hake's COA and PSA/DNA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
