Item Description
10.5x13" display plaque contains glossy 8-1/8x10" vintage 1950s photo (w/photographer's stamp on back) showing Jackie Robinson (1919-1972), one of baseball's all-time greats and biggest celebrities, who became the first African American to cross the color barrier and play in the MLB in the modern era. A six-time All-Star, 1947 MLB Rookie of the Year, 1949 NL MVP and 1955 World Series champ, Robinson was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1962. Photo has been inscribed/signed in blue ink at bottom, Robinson adding "To Jack With Best Wishes" inscription. Photo has pin holes at top/bottom center margins and at corners and shows corner tip wear/foxing w/tiny tip off bottom left and 1/8" pull/chip at bottom right. Fine overall but could be matted for nice display. Photo has been encased within wall plaque w/custom text plate below and is ready for display. Photo can be easily removed from plaque if so desired. Comes with Hake's COA, PSA/DNA LOA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
