See previous four items. Offered here is 12.75x13-3/8" totally hand-made prototype placemat design on thin artboard w/meticulously hand-cut pieces and hand-done accents, outlines, details in ink and paint. This concept was proposed for both Quaker and Post cereal mascots. 1960s. Prototype depicts Post Alpha-Bits cereal mascot postman Lovable Truly. A layer of flesh-colored paper has been attached to thin artboard and hat, hair, freckles, eyes, mouth and bowtie are painted cut-outs. "Post" name has been hand-painted. All line work has been hand-done. Back has "A Creation Of Sam Gold - Premium King" foil crown sticker. Prototype shows scattered lt. wear and "Post" name shows some wear and aging. Still displays VF overall. An exceptional, one-of-a-kind piece for the cereal collector. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
