Item Description
Six 11x15.75" artboards feature pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) for complete six-page story originally published in Big Daddy Roth #3 in Feb./March 1965 (and would later be republished in DRAG Cartoons #23 in 1966) by Dennis Ellefson. Art is for Man From U.N.C.L.E. spoof story The Man From F.E.R.N. and features caricatures of Robert Vaughn, David Calumny and Leo G. Carroll as well as appearances by Fidel Castro, Abraham Lincoln and Hugh Hefner (as the "Easter Bunny"). Various nods to other spy series. All text is stat paste-overs. Some scattered white correctional fluid and aged tape/tape staining. Back of three pages have inkstamp w/handwritten printer job notations. Margins have some scattered editorial notations and artboards have pin holes at corners. Artboards have evenly aged and art remains VF overall. Great eight ball illustration on first page.
