Item Description
11.75x20.75" partially printed document signed above the white paper seal at top left "The. M: Kean" in black dip pen ink on Sep. 10, 1806. Gov. McKean grants and divides "A Certain Tract Of Land, Called 'Silvermines'" between Thomas M. Willing and Robert Blackwell a total of "One Thousand And Ninety Nine Acres." Two vertical and one horizontal folds w/minor wear along lines and only light age toning. Thomas McKean was a member of the Continental Congress, signer of  the Declaration of Independence, served as President of Congress in 1781, helped draft the Pennsylvania Constitution and succeeded Thomas Mifflin in 1799 as Governor of Pennsylvania.   VF. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
