Item Description
10x15" partially printed document signed at bottom right "John Jay" in black quill pen ink and counter signed by "Daniel Hale" as secretary. The American revolutionary, first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and then Gov. of NY, appoints "Anson W. Jackson" to a "Regiment Of Militia In The County Of Onondaga" under command of "Hezekiah Olcott" on Jan. 20, 1800. Faint dots of toning along left edge and three vertical folds as issued. VF. White paper seal remains intact at top left. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
