Item Description
Charles "Kid" Nichols (1869-1953) was an MLB pitcher who played for the Boston Beaneaters (1890-1901), St. Louis Cardinals (1904-1905, during which time he served as a player-manager) and Philadelphia Phillies (1905-1906). His win-loss record is 362-208, he was a three-time NL win leader and he was the youngest pitcher to join the 300 win club. Nichols was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1949. Offered here is 9x12" matte w/magazine image of Nichols in Cardinals uniform, w/.5x2.75" opening below this containing cut signature from check, Nichols signing his full name in blue ink. Bottom edge of check (and Charles portion of name) has cancellation hole punches and top of signature has minor bleed from inkstamp on back. VF overall and ready for framing. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
