Item Description
9x12" display plaque contains 6-1/8x8.5" early 1900s Art Nouveau stationery sheet that has been boldly signed in blue ink by Cy Young (1867-1955), one of baseball's all-time greats and biggest celebrities. Young pitched for five different teams during his 21-year baseball career; the Cleveland Spiders (1890-1898), The St. Louis Perfectos/Cardinals (1899-1900), the Boston Americans/Red Sox (1901-1908), the Cleveland Naps (1909-1911) and the Boston Rustlers (1911). He established numerous pitching records, some of which have stood for over a century. Young compiled 511 wins, the most in MLB history. Young was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1937. Exc. Signed sheet has been encased within wall plaque w/custom text plate below and is ready for display. Sheet can be easily removed from plaque if so desired.
