Item Description
Custom cloth library clamshell contains the first three issues of Fantasy Thrilling Science-Fiction pulp magazine, published by George Newes Ltd. 1938-1939. Fantasy was one of only three pre-1940 British Sci-Fi pulps and only saw these three issues published. All feature covers by S.R. Drigin (two of which are featured in Anthony Frewin's One Hundred Years Of Science Fiction Illustration), featuring robotic man and giant worm. Issues contain stories by John Wyndham, Eric Frank Russell, John Russell Fearn, etc. Issues have moderate spine wear w/two having some glue repairs. Covers have scattered creases and corner tip/edge wear. Pages are dark cream in color but remain supple. Some staple oxidation. Good overall.
