Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 13" tall tin litho/vinyl/plastic (w/rubber nose and hands) battery-operated toy depicting popular manga/anime giant robot character Tetsujin 28-go (better known in the US as Gigantor). Made in Japan by the Osaka Tin Toy Institute, 1990s. This company also produced a smaller wind-up version of this famous Japanese robot character. Box lid features great illustration of Tetsujin 28-go while side panels feature image of main character Shotaro Kaneda controlling his robot friend via remote control. Box is complete w/all four cardboard inserts. Box has some corner tip/edge wear but is o/w VF/Exc. Robot has separate battery compartments in each leg, w/locking doors. Back has separate attached tin litho jetpacks and on/off switch. Toy works, red eyes light up as robot walks w/swinging arms. Box and toy are NM, old store stock.
