Item Description
The "Cartoon Adventures" set was issued in 1936 by an unknown manufacturer but believed to be the same as the Cartoon Comics set (see previous item). These strip cards are 2.5x2-7/8" with full color art fronts and blank backs. © either John F. Dille Co. or Stephen Slesinger. ACC# R28. There are 48 cards in the set numbered 401-448. Buck Rogers dominates the set with the most cards, 24, numbered 425-448. There are also eight card subsets for: Broncho Bill, Tailspin Tommy and Tarzan. This lot is missing just the eight Tarzan cards. The Buck cards are the most sought after from this issue. PSA grades range from FR 1.5 (two cards) to EX-MINT 6 (three cards and a high grade for these strip cards). The GPA of all 40 cards in this lot is 3.8. Full list of card numbers/grades online. A classic non-sport issue w/great graphics throughout.
