Item Description
2-1/8" w/99% silvering and naming W&H on curl. The Claussen Brewing Association was founded Feb. 1901 by Hans Johanne Claussen and this mirror names both his brewery and its flagship brand "Tannhaeuser". The mirror is beautifully designed w/multiple symbols of industry plus two workingmen holding aloft the logo of the Socialist Labor Party adopted in 1904.  The mirror may date from the 1909 Alaska-Yukon Exposition at which Tannhaeuser Beer won the Grand Prize and a Gold Medal, confirming their slogan "Seattle's Best Beer". NM. Alan Weinberg Collection.
