Item Description
1.5". No maker. Attached is 3" ribbon holding large 2" dia. tin baseball marked "Made In Germany." Button illustartes a pair of happy bears shaking hands with each holding a bat. Date at bottom. The 1929 Chicago Cubs ball club finished in first place in the National League with a record of 98-54 under National Baseball Hall of Fame Manager Joe McCarthy. Leading the offense was a quartet of future Baseball Hall of Famers: Rogers Hornsby, Gabby Hartnett, Hack Wilson and Kiki Cuyler. Chicago would go on to lose the World Series to the American League champion, Philadelphia Athletics in five games. Some color bleeding at date as made. Lt. scattered wear to all. VF.
