1" litho. From a small set, only five players are known. Certified also issued a very rare 3" 1929 Cubs team button (we sold the Muchinsky example in our Feb. 2021 auction for $1,622). Hornsby played for the Cubs 1929-32 and was also their manager 1930-32. One of the true legends of the game, Hornsby was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1942 and named to both the MLB All-Century and All-Time teams. The key button in this scarce and sought-after Cubs set. Scattered trace of surface wear including tiny nicks but most only visible upon close inspection. Fine.
