Item Description
3.5"x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 15 ballplayers in full uniform along with team mascot seated at front, all posed on a ballfield bench with wooden fence in the background. The 1906 Columbus Senators club pictured here were champions of the Class A Eastern League in 1906, finishing with a final record of 91-57 under manager Bill Clymer. An amazing total of 18 team members would go on to play in the Major Leagues from this club, with the most notable being: Heinie Berger, John Farrell, Patsy Flaherty, Bill Hinchman, Rudy Hulswitt, Ollie Pickering and Jack Ryan. Postcard back credit to "Columbus Dispatch Post Cards". No significant condition issues to note. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
