Item Description
Errol McCarthy is an artist/illustrator noted for his work on Peterson Publishing titles Hot Rod Cartoons, CARtoons and Cycletoons as well as for his later work on popular toylines like Hot Wheels and Masters of the Universe. Offered here are three 14.5x21" artboards w/applied sheets of vellum bearing pen and ink original art (w/screentone accents) for complete three-page "All Washed Up!!" story from 1970s Peterson Publishing title (either Hot Rod Cartoons or CARtoons). Story features two gearheads on trip who decide to upgrade to van so they don't have to sleep in a tent. Once the van is purchased, they make modification after modification until they ended up back in the tent at the end of story because there's no longer any room in the van for them. McCarthy has signed at bottom of first panel on first page. Vellum has aged and artboards have some corner tip/margin wear/staining, but o/w remains clean and Exc.
