Item Description
Errol McCarthy is an artist/illustrator noted for his work on Peterson Publishing titles Hot Rod Cartoons, CARtoons and Cycletoons as well as for his later work on popular toylines like Hot Wheels and Masters of the Universe. Offered here is 14.25x18.75" artboard w/applied sheet of vellum bearing pen and ink original art for CARtoons "Off Road Nut" pin-up, which shows pair of four-wheel drive vehicles and dirt bike kicking up dust. Large "CARtoons" title paste-over at top w/bold hand-lettered "Off Road Nut" text at bottom. Peterson Publishing, 1970s. McCarthy has signed at lower left. Artboard has corner tip wear at bottom and some faint staining along right margin of vellum sheet, which has some scattered insect damage.
