Item Description
3.5"x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 13 ballplayers in full uniform posed in front of a stadium scoreboard. Caption at bottom reads "The Insurgents - Salina, Central Kansas League 1910 - Compliments Salina Journal". All team members are identified along with their positions at bottom of the photo. The 1910 Salina club finished in fourth place in the Class D Central Kansas League with a final record of 44-34 under manager Elmer Meredith. Postcard exhibits lt., even corner wear while divided back has been postally used with a date stamp of June 19, 1910. Lower left-hand corner on back contains stamp "Thos. J. Sandridge, Traveling Representative, Reporter - Journal - Salina, Kansas". VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
