Item Description
3.5"x5-3/8" vintage matte postcard depicting 10 ballplayers in full uniform with period baseball equipment in the foreground and posed in front of stadium seating. Caption at bottom reads "The Famous Fort Cobb, Okla. Indian Base Ball Team". Publisher's credit reads "Marshall's Confectionery". Native American Indian images from the early 20th century era are always highly desirable, and this one is no different. Several creases are visible with the most prominent being a horizontal crease across the entire width just below center. Corners exhibit moderate wear, divided postcard back includes a handwritten message which has a few smudges from handling along with a postal cancellation date of June 24 but the year is not visible.VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with hake's COA.
