Item Description
3.5"x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 12 ballplayers in full uniform along with one gentleman dressed in formal attire with period baseball equipment on display in the foreground. Notation at bottom reads "Wausau Lumberjacks 1911 City Champions". Photographer's credit at top reads "J.F. Schreiber". Team only completed a partial season for the Class C Minnesota-Wisconsin League, finishing with a record of 21-22 under manager Biddy Dolan. Image quality of this photograph is excellent, pair of creases at bottom, center along with lt., even corner wear. Divided postcard back exhibits numerous scuff marks along with foxing/staining around the edges. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
