Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box w/Styrofoam insert w/cover contains 4.5" tall painted die-cast metal and plastic figure GB-62 of Robot 8-chan from the Toei Fushigi Comedy Series, specifically the Robot 8-chan series, which debuted in 1981. Figure is complete w/all accessories, including separate propeller hat. Made in Japan for the Japanese market by Popy as part of their Chogokin (line of die-cast metal robot and character toys sold in Japan) line, 1981. Box has original Japanese Toei sticker and shows lt. corner tip wear and partial punch of GB-62 tab at top center. Box is Fine/VF. Comes w/illustrated instruction sheet and Popy catalog. Figure features head that opens to reveal mirrored surface, torso opens to reveal steering wheel and legs slit to create wheeled platform. Small scuff to paint on raised "8" on torso but o/w Exc. Complete and unused. Wonderfully detailed set.
