Item Description
12-3/8x12-3/8" LP marked "Demonstration - Not For Sale" at top right in gold foil lettering (though first few letters show obvious wear) and contains double LP set of John Williams' iconic Star Wars score, released by 20th Century Fox Records, ©1977 20th Century-Fox Film Corp. This demo release was not for resale. LP cover shows corner tip/edge wear w/some edge creases and is Fine overall. Both records present w/original sleeves and NM. 11.25x11.25" insert features liner notes from Star Wars idea man Charles Lippincott and track listings. What makes this piece so special is the fact that upper left corner of insert front has been signed in blue felt tip pen under "Star Wars" logo by Harrison Ford. This is an early Ford signature, likely obtained at an early screening or related event where the album would have been available. Insert shows some handling wear and is VF overall, though signature remains bold. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Lot also includes early "The Star Wars" sticker featuring Ralph McQuarrie design (for more info on this sticker, see item #2285) that were handed out at the May 21, 1977 screening of the film. NM. Comes w/regular pressing of the LP w/insert and poster.
