Item Description
2-3/8x2-7/8". Also known as "Canadian Goudeys", card fronts from the 1933 World Wide Gum issue are identical to the 1933 U.S. Goudey set while the backs are also a very close match. Text on card backs can be found in English or English and French, with the all English version being scarcer. "The Babe" made his MLB debut for the Boston Red Sox in 1914 as a left-handed starting pitcher and quickly established himself as the American League's top southpaw as well as a terror with a bat in his hands. Upon leaving Boston and joining the New York Yankees in 1920, Ruth made a full-time move to the outfield and the rest, as they say, is history. Babe was a 7-time World Champion, AL MVP, 2-time AL All-Star, Batting Title Winner and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
