Item Description
Three different sets each comprised of 45 cards, all are 2.5x3.5". Great player images on fronts, in both color and bw, stat and bio backs. Features MLB players whose careers date as far back as the late 1890s and ended as recent as the 1970s. A veritable who's who of stars and legends of the game. Of the 135 cards offered here, an incredible 61 have been hand-signed, most in blue felt tip pen, w/some in black felt tip pen or blue ink. Signatures include - HOF members Ted Williams, Stan Musial, Joe DiMaggio (2 different cards), Willie Mays, Lou Brock, Richie Ashburn, Bill Terry, Charlie Gehringer, Bill Dickey, Luke Appling, Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Whitey Ford, Robin Roberts, Warren Spahn, Sandy Koufax, Juan Marichal, Hoyt Wilhelm, Don Drysdale, Bob Gibson, Lefty Gomez, Hal Newhouser, Early Wynn, Catfish Hunter, Carl Hubbell, Jim Bunning, Harmon Killebrew, Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Ralph Kiner, Willie McCovey, Eddie Matthews, Ernie Banks, Duke Snider, Frank Robinson, Billy Williams, Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Orlando Cepeda and Larry Doby. Other who have signed include - Harvey Kuenn, Mickey Vernon, Tommy Davis, Ferris Fain, Wilbur Wood, Don Newcombe, Roy Face, Allie Reynolds, Denny McLain, Jim Lonborg, Frank Howard, Ted Kluszewski, Richie Allen, Joe Adcock, Babe Herman, Norm Cash, Dolf Camill, Jim Gentile, Rocco Colavito and Roy Sievers. Of the 61 signed cards, a whopping 41 are members of the National Baseball Hall Of Fame. This was not an easy task for the original owner to accomplish, getting so many of these signed decades ago, and needless to say an impossibility these days with so many of these legends now deceased. Some of the cards signed in blue felt tip pen have faint ghosting but signatures remain bold across the set. Cards are mostly NM to Mint. An exceptional autograph collection. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA Auction LOA.
