Item Description
11x17" offset print on thin stock produced before the show for promotion. Signed in pencil at lower right by artist Mike King. Billed as "The Worlds State Of The Art Speed Metal Band" and featuring an image of guitarist Chris Poland, drummer Gar Samuelson, guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and bassist Dave Ellefson, this poster promotes two concerts on Nov. 28 & 29 at Pine Street Theater in Portland, OR and at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA both featuring fellow thrashers Sanctuary, from Seattle, WA. Losses at top r/l and bottom right corner affecting text. Moderate handling and a staple hole at bottom left. Good/VG. Comes w/newspaper advertising clipping for the Tacoma show. The legendary thrash metal band was approaching the end of a lengthy world tour in support of their sophomore album "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" and would dismiss both Samuelson and Poland at the conclusion for substance abuse issues, an irony as Mustaine had been dismissed from Metallica in 1983 for similar issues.
