Item Description
11x17" offset print on thin stock produced before the show for promotion. Illustrated in King, Herring & Gore authored book Maximum Plunder on p. 79. Border of flying witches and pumpkins designed by artist Mike King to promote the Oct. 29 concert at Fox Theater in Portland, OR. A faint dot at bottom just right of center and trivial bend in top right margin. Exc. By the time these posters were delivered for distribution the concert had sold out and all of the typical 300-400 print run were never distributed making this one of the more attainable Nirvana gig posters from the band's artistic height. The quick sellout of this gig, just a month after the album Nevermind was released, was an indication of band's rocket ship heating up. By the time the calendar flipped to 1992 the band would be in full orbit as Nevermind bumped Michael Jackson's album Dangerous from the top of the Billboard charts while moving 300,000 units a week forever altering the cultural landscape.
