Item Description
6.25x10" sheet of unlined paper has handwritten note to comic fan "Reggie" (same fan as recipient of Paul Reinman letter/art; lot #1111) from Carmine Infantino (1925-2013), a comics artist and editor known for his work at DC Comics, where he co-created the Silver Age version of The Flash, Elongated Man and Deadman and helped redefine comic books during the 1950s and 1960s. Letter dates to c. 1960 and reads in part "Forgive Me For Not Writing Sooner, But The Flash Keeps Me So Busy That I don't Have Time For Much Else" and goes on to mention self portrait sketch on back. Infantino has signed at bottom of front. Back has small Flash portrait beside Infantino's self portrait and is inscribed "Regards To Reggie - From The Flash And Carmine Infantino." Sheet is evenly aged and top of letter has some glue staining as once mounted. A few scattered small spots of staining, but Fine overall.
