Item Description
Two artboards attached for assembled size of 20.25x26.5" has pen and ink original art for Sunday page No. 404 featuring art by Rick Yager, best known for his work on Buck Rogers during the 1950s. Sunday page was published in 1949 and features 11 panels, showing Dr. Huer and Buck Rogers on Venus, commanding Barney to fire Dr. Huer's Uranium Gun from the moon in order to save Venusian mayor's life. Dr. Huer appears in nine panels, Buck Rogers appears clearly in seven panels. Bottom left panel has handwritten John F. Dille Co. copyright and last panel has been signed by Yager. Included title stat is not attached and has scattered glue staining. Aged age/tape staining at center left/right as assembled. Aged tape on back has large split at left. Scattered aging and some staining, but VF overall. Gene Seger Buck Rogers Collection.
