AFA graded and encapsulated Sears exclusive shrink-wrapped blank back card contains 2.25" tall action figure of R2-D2 (w/periscope) from Kenner's popular 1982 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back toyline, ©1980 Lucasfilm Ltd. Canadian issue. In 1980-1981, Sears stores throughout Canada offered multi-packs of carded figures, each including an early release of one of seven new Empire Strikes Back figures. These figures were released prior to the production of the individual cardback art and figure bubbles. The figures were released shrink-wrapped on blank back cards. Card has been punched. AFA-graded 70 Q-EX+ (Qualified, Archival case). AFA subgrades are as follows - C70 B85 F85. Comes w/AFA Qualified Scale COA. Rare as still shrink-wrapped to card.
