Item Description
15x21.25" Whatman Drawing board has mixed media original art painting w/image area measuring 13.5x18". Max Brand's Silvertip and the Fighting Four cover for Four Color #731, published by Dell in Oct. 1956. Art is by noted Dell cover artist Sam Savitt (1917-2000), a well-known and respected equine artist. Margins have some penciled notations at top right and along right margins w/some scattered margin soiling. Art has printer's centering labels at each cover, but art remains clean and would mat and frame for an Exc. display.
