Item Description
16.75x18.75" die-cut cardboard counter standee w/easel back features Bill Summers (1895-1966) in umpire gear, advertising Cooper 3-D automobile tires. Late 1950s. Summers was a MLB umpire who worked in the AL 1933-1959, officiating in eight World Series, tying the AL record. Summers had his own baseball card in the 1955 Bowman set. Sign shows scattered wear w/heavy crease to Summers' neck at top and obvious wear to his face. Scattered edge/corner tip wear w/some surface paper loss here and there. Back has sticker on easel. VG/Fine.
