Item Description
1.75" w/blank back paper and "Design Pat. Dec. 1898" on curl at 6 o'clock. Original lucky rabbit's foot suspended from hole at 6 o'clock as made. For extreme accuracy we note a hairline cello separation along curl at 4 o'clock that remains tight and does not take the button out of round, likely occurring in manufacturing. Exc. as made. This design is similar to one used for TR's Gubernatorial campaign and a Rough Rider Reunion in Las Vegas, NM but obtaining an example w/this "Vice President" inscription is especially tough and the present specimen is as pleasing as any we have encountered.
