23x30" frame featuring the 11.5x18" scalloped edge vellum document. Dated June 26, 1802 and issued to "Brig Rosanna Of New York, Watson Brown Master Of Commander... To Pass With Her Company Passengers Goods And Merchandize Without Any Hindrance Seizure Or Molestation." Signed in black dip pen ink at conclusion "TH Jefferson" as President and "James Madison" as Secretary of State. Typical and well flattened vertical and horizontal folds as well as scattered minor age. Retains original American seal at bottom left. Signatures remain dark and legible. VF. Handsomely framed w/portraits of the two founding fathers at left. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
