Item Description
Bill Ward (1919-1998) assisted many comic book artists in the 1940s and 1950s, and is noted for his well-endowed cartoons that appeared in various pin-up magazines. Offered here is 21.5x29" double mat w/15-3/8x22.75" opening displaying charcoal and white ink original art showing kneeling man begging curvaceous woman who attends to her make-up in pocket mirror as if ignoring him. c. 1960s. Ward has boldly signed at bottom right. Art paper has evenly aged but art is o/w Exc. Nice example of Ward's style and sense of humor.
