Item Description
The first 12 Back cards released in Canada were only printed in English, going against the bilingualism laws in Canada; so Kenner Canada changed to this style of card, featuring a large tapered "La Guerre Des Étoiles" French Pyramid logo at bottom right. This style of card is often referred to as GDE (Guerre Des Étoiles). Soon after the release of these GDE cards, Kenner Canada started putting the French logo on the back of the card, making them in compliance w/all Canadian bilingual laws and resulting in this GDE style card being short-lived. Offered here is AFA graded and encapsulated 12 Back-C blister card containing 4.25" tall action figure of Darth Vader from Kenner's popular 1978 Star Wars toyline, ©1977 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. Canadian issue. Card has been punched. AFA-graded 40 Good. AFA subgrades are as follows - C40 B80 F85. These GDE logo cards are very rare in any condition, these lots being the first of any we've offered.
