Item Description
AFA graded and encapsulated 13.25x24.75" Canadian issue cardboard bin header features Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia portion from Star Wars movie poster by The Brothers Hildebrandt at top and shows the first 21 Star Wars action figures. This is similar in design to its US counterpart, showing photo images of the characters as they appeared in the film - Hammerhead, Greedo, Power Droid, Walrus Man, R5-D4, Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot), Snaggletooth, Death Star Droid, Sand People, Jawas, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, See-Threepio (C-3PO), Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2), Han Solo, Death Squad Commander,  Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and Chewbacca but in a slightly different layout design as well as featuring some different film images or different centering. Of particular note, the center of display features full body photo image of Boba Fett action figure instead of film portrait. Apart from the obvious presence of the French form of the logo, the most distinctive difference between the Canadian and US header cards is in the thickness of their cardboard stocks. While the American variations were printed on thick, corrugated cardboard, the Canadian versions are markedly thinner, and thus were easily damaged, making this higher grade example an extra rare offering. AFA-graded 80+ NM. Items w/the GDE logo are very rare, these lots being the first of any we've offered. Very rare and the only example graded by AFA.
