Item Description
The 1971 New York Mets season was the tenth regular season for the Mets, who played home games at Shea Stadium. Led by manager Gil Hodges (1924-1972), the team posted an 83-79 record and finished the season tied for third place in the National League Eastern Division. Offered here is an Official Spalding Little League baseball has been signed in blue ink by 21 members of the 1971 Mets, including National Baseball HOF members Bob Murphy (1924-2004), Tom Seaver (1944-2020), Gil Hodges  and Yogi Berra (1925-2015). Others key team members who have signed include - Gil Hodges (1924-1972, sweet spot), Donn Clendenon (1935-2005), Tug McGraw (1944-2004), Danny Frisella (1946-1977) and Tommie Agee (1942-2001). Ball exhibits moderate toning, but signatures remain legible. Fine overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
