Item Description
The 1972 New York Mets season was the 11th regular season for the Mets, who played home games at Shea Stadium. Led by manager Yogi Berra, the team had an 83-73 record and finished in third place in the National League's Eastern Division. Offered here is an Official Spalding NL (Feeney) baseball has been signed in blue ink by 29 members of the 1972 Mets, including National Baseball HOF members Yogi Berra (1925-2015, sweet spot), Willie Mays (sweet spot) and Tom Seaver (1944-2020). Others key team members who have signed include - Tug McGraw (1944-2004), John Milner (1949-2000), Tommie Agee (1942-2001) and Danny Frisella (1946-1977). Berra's signature remains strong while Mays' signature is a bit lt. but still legible. Ball exhibits moderate toning, a couple small spots of staining and shows some scattered wear, but majority of signatures remain legible. Fine overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
