Item Description
26x40" teaser poster for the classic 1977 Sci-Fi film by George Lucas. This is one of two different designs issued in 1977; one being a regular teaser poster, w/black bkg. and gray text/borders. The other is the example offered here, which looks exactly the same, except that the "W" in "Star Wars" has pointed bottoms (only seen in very early promotional material) and the poster was printed on a foil-coated paper w/black areas printed over the foil. This example has been rolled and all margins have been neatly trimmed. Scattered handling wear w/some loss of black printing to right of "Coming" text as well as to left/right of "Summer." Some scattered surface scuffs. VG/Fine overall, but would make for nice framed display. Charles Lippincott Collection.
