Item Description
15-1/8x22" artboard w/pen and ink original art for Feb. 27, 1972 Sunday page by longtime Archie comics and comic strip artist Bob Montana (1920-1975). Sunday page features total of 11 panels, including title panel w/aged/glue stained title stat paste-over. Story features the endless frustrations of Riverdale High lunchlady Miss Beazly and chaos that ensues during lunchtime repairs to her kitchen. Principal Weatherbee, Miss Grundy, Miss Haggly and janitor Mr. Svenson make appearances along w/Archie, who only appears in seventh panel w/great french fries gag. Archie Comic Publications, Inc. copyright strip in ninth panel w/KFS distribution strip in last panel. Margins have some scattered notations, and artboard has strip of inking/staining along left margin, but this could be easily matted out for VF display.
