Item Description
2.25x4.25" cardstock has been signed in green ink by Satchel Paige (1906-1982), widely regarded as the greatest pitcher in the history of the Negro Leagues, starring for the great Pittsburgh Crawfords and Kansas City Monarchs clubs of the 1930s and 1940s. Joining the Cleveland Indians in 1948 as the oldest rookie in MLB history, Paige would play a major role in leading the Indians to the 1948 World Series. After spending one more season in Cleveland, Paige would play his final three MLB seasons w/the St. Louis Browns from 1951-1953. Paige was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1971. Signature is slightly aged as once mounted in display (w/slightly lighter margins) but remains legible. Still displays VF and would look great as part of a signature display. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
