Item Description
1" brass shell. DeWitt 1864-7. Image encircled w/ "For President J. C. Fremont" and is flanked by a pair of shields enclosed in stars and wreaths. Reverse "For Vice President John Cochrane" w/small text "Pat Aug. 12, 1862." Fremont has only trivial scratches under magnification and retains a watery sheen. Cochrane has only minor surface wear. Brass shell has light wear, but retains nearly full luster. Exc. See matching Lincoln and McClellan ferros in previous lots.
