Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8 vintage matte postcard depicting 9 team members in full uniform along with one gentleman dressed in formal attire and a young mascot posed in front of a wooden fence. Identification below photo reads "Rockville Centre Base Ball Club, Rockville Centre, L.I.". Credit along with left border reads "Made in Germany for E. Maguinness, Publisher, Rockville Centre, L.I.". Blank border at right intended for addressee messages. Other than being located in Long Island, New York, we have been unable to obtain any additional information about this club, likely a company/town squad taking on all comers in their local area. Lt., even corner wear visible, undivided back remains blank and unused with paper loss evident in the stamp box area. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
