Item Description
3-3/8x5-3/8" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 17 team members in full uniform along with one gentleman dressed in formal attire posed in front of stadium seating. The Waterloo Boosters baseball club only spent two seasons playing in the Class B Illinois-Iowa-Indiana League, 1910 and 1911. The Boosters finished in fourth place with a final record of 72-67 in 1910 and finished in seventh place in 1911 with a record of 59-76, both seasons under manager, Frank Boyle. Image quality of this photograph is superb, lt. even corner wear visible. .75" tear along edge in lower left-hand corner has been repaired with archival tape. Divided postcard back remains blank and unused, AZO stamp box dates to 1904-18, which is consistent with the subject matter presented. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
