Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 10 team members in full uniform along posed outside a building with period baseball equipment in the foreground. Identification under photo reads "S.O.I.S. Base Ball Team 1906 Scotland, PA". We have been unable to obtain any additional information about this club, likely a company/town squad taking on all comers in their local area. Personal handwritten message from a team member appears in blank right margin. Lt., even corner wear with a few spots of staining on back. Postcard was postally used with a cancellation stamp dated June 20, 1906 in Scotland, PA. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
