Item Description
20x20" artboard has mixed media original art used for cover to compilation double LP (No. 22 of a 29 volume boxed set), released in 1985 by Time-Life Music. Art is by noted illustrator Richard Waldrep, who has created art for over 30 album covers. Art Deco-inspired design is dominated by large portrait of Armstrong w/members of his band standing in bkg. in front of plane. Artboard has some surface paper lifts along upper left/right margins from tape that once attached paper overlay (now loose but included). Some lt. glue staining on back where overlay was once attached. Art remains clean and Exc. Comes w/album cover proof signed in black ink by the artist. Proof shows handling wear w/creases and just comes along.
