Item Description
4x14.5x22.5" box. Set #7010. c.1950s. Marx. Box variety has blue text with black playset image on the lid. Box has scattered lt. wear/aging. Box is complete w/cardboard insert. Fine. Contents vary in different sets, this appears complete with 2-pc. silver/blue tin litho space building and includes signal unit, front gate w/doors and nine wall sections. Marx produced both Tom Corbett and Space Patrol playsets and both types of figures were used in both sets. The figures included are 20 blue, 10 orange/brown and 20 grey. Figures include aliens and robots as well as Tom Corbett figures. The hard plastic field accessories in silver include observatory dome, radar antenna unit, fuel tank unit and more. Hard plastic academy furniture in light blue includes chair, cabinets, benches, ladder, control panel, etc. The hard plastic operating accessories are saucer launcher w/two disks and vertical rocket launcher platform w/rockets, pom pom gun/unused shells on sprue, instructions, clear helmets and more. This version of the playset comes w/space car in dark blue w/canopy. The tin building panels have some lt. scratches/wear, tiny denting (small wrinkle in tin on one end as made) o/w contents show lt. wear/aging. Overall VF. A very nicely designed and detailed Marx playset. Consignor purchased this set factory sealed, carefully removed staples to examine contents. All contents are as produced and undisturbed in original bags as produced by Marx and NM as issued. Marx Warehouse File Copy from the famous Scala/Bowers Acquisition and subsequent auctions.
