Item Description
19x24" hot press artboard contains edge to edge fully painted artwork by Clyde Caldwell, fantasy illustrator known for his work with TSR in the 1980s. Cover image matches short illustrated story "Phoenix" inside of magazine. Story has no dialogue at all and features a wizard, a battle robot and an icarus like winged human figure rising like a phoenix. Art from 1978 has deep crimson background w/planets that makes characters in foreground pop. Lt. aging/handling wear. Exc. Includes printed copy of magazine from Summer of 1978. VF.
