8.5x11" paper sheets w/copy of art for the Amazing Spider-Man issue #3 featuring the first appearance of Doctor Octopus by Steve Ditko that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover book Marvel Masterworks #1, Vol. 1 The Amazing Spider-Man. Complete 21 story pages plus cover. Historic Silver Age Spider-Man storyline: "Spider-Man Versus Doctor Octopus" by Stan Lee with art by Steve Ditko. Color artist on reprint issue was Andy Yanchus. Paper pages w/"Marvel Masterworks The Amazing Spider-Man" written/stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Cover has acetate overlay w/text color. Used in Marvel Masterworks #1 that reprinted Amazing Fantasy #15 and The Amazing Spider-Man #1-10 (November 1987). Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean. Overall displays VF.
