Item Description
1x1/5" w/inset real photo, back has bar pin. There are 20+ known (so far) in this series including a Babe Ruth. Who issued these, and how they were distributed, also remain a mystery. Tinker was a two-time World Series champion w/the Chicago Cubs. With that team, Tinker was a part of the great double-play combination w/teammates Johnny Evers and Frank Chance. All three men would be inducted in the National Baseball Hall Of Fame the same year, 1946. Insert has a horizontal ripple across the center. Same area also has some stress lines and trace of wear, all really only seen upon close inspection. Photo remains glossy and image is distinct. Front of metal frame has luster wear but some highlights remain. Back has most full luster. Fine. One of the keys from this most elusive set.
